Wellness Key LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Wellness Key Insight mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have complete control over your personal information, nutritional data, and wellness logs.

This Privacy Policy explains how data is collected, used, processed, and protected when you use Wellness Key Insight, in compliance with mobile application standards and Google Play Developer Policies.

1. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

We collect only the data necessary to provide personalized nutrition tracking, macro analysis, and wellness insights:

1. Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials via our secure backend provider (Supabase) to maintain your login state and sync your profile.
2. Nutrition & Meal Logs: Meal descriptions, macro breakdown targets (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats), dietary preferences, and meal photos you take or upload.
3. Fitness & Wellness Metrics: Optional wellness inputs you provide, such as daily hydration, activity notes, and body composition targets.
4. Camera & Photo Library (User-Initiated Only): Accessed only when you actively grant permission to capture or upload food photos for AI meal breakdown and macro logging. We do not access your gallery in the background.
5. Technical & Diagnostic Data: Anonymized crash reports, app stability metrics, and device identifiers (such as OS version and device model) collected via Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose bugs and improve app stability.
6. Subscription & Purchase Data: Non-sensitive transaction identifiers managed securely via RevenueCat and Google Play Billing to unlock premium features and verify active subscriptions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly to deliver and maintain core application features:

1. AI Nutritional Analysis: Processing meal photos and text descriptions using the Google Gemini API to calculate estimated macronutrients and caloric breakdowns.
2. Personalized Tracking: Generating your daily caloric and macronutrient timelines and tracking progress toward your nutrition and wellness goals.
3. Subscription Management: Validating premium tier access and in-app subscriptions through RevenueCat.
4. Security & Performance: Monitoring crash logs, preventing fraudulent access, and improving the app's speed and reliability.

3. Data Storage, Security, and Local Encryption

We employ multi-layer security measures to keep your data private:

1. Local SQLCipher Database Encryption: Your historical wellness logs, meal data, and personalized notes are stored locally on your device using SQLCipher, applying 256-bit AES encryption at rest.
2. Encrypted Data in Transit: All communications between the App, our backend, and third-party APIs are transmitted exclusively over encrypted HTTPS/TLS 1.3 channels.
3. No AI Model Training on Personal Data: Your meal photos and text descriptions processed through the Google Gemini API are utilized exclusively for real-time analysis and are never used to train public machine learning models.

5. Data Retention and Account / Data Deletion

You maintain complete ownership of your personal data:

1. In-App Data Management: You can clear local logs, update profile inputs, or delete recorded meals directly from the App settings at any time.
2. Complete Account & Data Deletion: You have the right to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud data. You can initiate deletion directly inside the App settings under Profile > Delete Account or by sending an email request to wellnesskeycenter@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
3. Deletion Processing: Upon receiving a verified deletion request, all personal account information and cloud-stored records will be permanently purged from our active databases within 30 days, in accordance with Google Play Data Safety requirements.

6. Device Permissions

You can revoke permissions at any time through your device’s operating system settings:

1. Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used strictly to capture real-time photos of meals for AI macro breakdown.
2. Media / Storage (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES): Used strictly to allow you to select existing food photos from your gallery for nutrient scanning.

7. Children’s Privacy

Wellness Key Insight is designed for general audiences and is intended for individuals aged 18 and older (or at minimum 13+ with parental consent). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological enhancements, operational changes, or legal requirements. When updates occur, the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
